A privileged location
The EMCA falls within the privileged framework of Magelis, the Angoulême image hub that constitutes the second largest animated image production hub after Paris with around thirty animation studios present in the area. (Xilam, Superprod, La Chouette Compagnie, Les Films du Poisson Rouge, 2 Minutes, Miyu, 3.0 Studio, Silex Animation, La Station Animation, Unique Animation, FOST, Blue Spirit, Caribara, Bobbypills, Borderline Studio, Frigo Films, Toku,...).
The EMCA is also part of the Campus de l'Image, which brings together 15 schools and about 2,000 students.
- The Campus de l'Image is located in a green environment on the banks of the Charente and in the heart of the Quartier de l'Image located a few minutes walk from the city center.
- Students benefit from privileged living and working conditions, where exchanges and the animation of student life are encouraged.
- The campus has a CROUS university restaurant and a student residence of 60 units (L'Auberge Espagnole).
- De nombreux services sont par ailleurs offerts aux étudiant.e.s, notamment grâce à l’association SCCUC (Services et Culture Campus Universitaires de la Charente) et au Pôle Image Magelis :

On the other hand, EMCA’s BDE, called EMCA Syndicate, offers a range of activities to students and leads the school’s student life every day: CinéClub, theater workshops, sewing, walking, student parties, festive events. (Olympiads, Christmas, Carnival,...)
The Pôle Image Magelis is the economic development hub for the image sector. It represents the second center for the production of animated images in France after Paris. It brings together one thirty animation studios and about ten video game studios in the region.
